Piracy fair

"Government tussi great ho"
Ek taraf piracy ke kilaaf mela dusri aur piracy ka hi mela.
It has been long since the cities are visited by thousands and thousands of publishers and distributers during the most crowd-pulling events that is the "BOOK FAIRS".The gathering and activity is so huge that traffic police forces are to be deployed.Young and old go for the gold, that is the the treasure ,the knowledge in form of books. But has the fair and the validity of the product is unquestionable. The authenticity the fairness of dealing with customers is satisfiable.Hope it may be .
One incident to quote before all my readers so that the question"Are we in sleep?" can be answered in the light of it .The plight in 9th Rajdhani Book Fair(5th december to 16th december 2008) at Exhibition Ground, Bhubaneswar,Orissa is not only sordid but pitiable. Original and pirated books have been kept side by side and sold.
The recent Booker prize 2008 wining book White Tiger by Aravind Adiga whose actual cost is Rs.395 is sold one two two racks left to the rack having pirated copy to be sold at Rs.180.This is pathetic,at one hand we are doing potests and are having laws against this social stigma and at the other hand we are promoting it through fairs. It is high time now Government should check this and take stringent measures to curb it out.
